Tips ALL Workers Need to Take to Work
• All workers are at risk of getting injured on the job, no matter their level of experience or type of job.
• Yearly, almost 2,000 N.B. workers aged 15 to 24 report a workplace injury and nine have died since 1998 as a result of a workplace accident.
• Workplace accidents can have serious long-term consequences.
• Don’t be afraid to ask questions, speak up or get help when it comes to your safety. Talk to your supervisor, health and safety representative or joint health and safety committee about any safety concerns you may have.
• All workers have a right to a safe workplace.
• Get all the information you need to do your job safely.
• Be responsible and follow the rules and safety procedures.
• YOU have the power to prevent workplace accidents.
• Don’t ignore the hazards on the job .
• Wear the safety gear that is required.
• Say no or get help with any task that go beyond your capabilities or may put your safety at risk.
